Most sand dollars you see are first heavily bleached and then hardened with a substance similar to elmers glue, sometimes with a little white paint mixed in.  You can't see it or smell it...but its there. 

These sand dollars are straight from the Gulf of Mexico and haven't been treated in any way other than the Florida sun.  A great natural healthy calcium supplement and or toy for hermit crabs.  Having not been treated they are not beautiful white and are very fragile.  We cannot guarantee delivery in one piece.  However, we will do our best.
